Currency Orders

Get the rates you want, when you want them with ClearFX currency orders. When you are working overseas or regularly do business overseas, exchange rate movements can make a big difference to your international payments. Often you will find yourself delaying a payment or wire transfer while you wait for exchange rates to reach a point that you're comfortable with.

You may miss out on the best rates if you cannot monitor movements all the time, especially overnight. ClearFX solves that by monitoring for you automatically around the clock.

A currency order with ClearFX makes it simple for you specify a target rate that is better than the current rate and how much money you would like to exchange when the exchange rate reaches your target.

  • ClearFX will monitor your currency order 24 hours a day for as long as you want us to. When exchange rates reach your target and trigger your currency order, ClearFX will immediately make the transaction for you, even if you are asleep.
  • We will then contact you to arrange payment.
  • No fees. No hidden costs. Just 24/7 service to help you get the best exchange rate when sending money.

Currency Orders Example

Jim has just received a GBP 25,000 from his city finance job in London. He wants to send it home to Australia to pay against the family home mortgage. There's no hurry because Jim has moved straight into a new contract so he wants to wait until the exchange rate become more favourable. With the AUD/GBP exchange rate currently at 1.8000 Jim would receive AUD$45,000. He decides to hold off until it reaches 2.1000 and makes a currency order on ClearFX.

Twelve weeks later deep in the night while Jim is fast asleep, the exchange rate reaches 2.1000 for the first time. ClearFX immediately completes the transaction and contacts Jim in the morning to arrange payment. Jim receives AUD$52,500 which is AUD$7,500 more than if he had made the international money transfer when rates were lower.
